About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food and drink services to our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a welcoming and clean environment for our residents and customers in our village cafe.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Chef to deliver a high-quality food and drink service.
  • Operate the EPOS system to serve customers efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen and cafe area.
  • Assist with closing down the kitchen at the end of the day and removing waste.
Requirements
  • Good standard of general education.
  • Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices.
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles.
  • Barista training (desirable).
  • Food hygiene qualification level 2 (desirable).
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 1 Catering/Food Service or equivalent (desirable).
  • Experience working in a busy cafe/restaurant environment (desirable).
  • Experience of working with older people (desirable).
  • Experience using an EPOS system (desirable).
