Job Overview

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced nurse to fill a Band 7 Nurse Specialist position as a Team Lead for the Children's Haematology/Oncology HSCT and Apheresis Service. This role will require providing line management support to specialist nurses, offering expert advice to multidisciplinary teams, and collaborating with local and regional services.

Job Description
  • This exciting service supports patients requiring allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants, CAR-T therapy for haematology and oncology conditions, and associated apheresis procedures like Extra-Corporeal Photopheresis and Stem Cell Harvests.
  • The post holder will be responsible for providing support and specialist nursing advice to the team, managing data collection and employing it for service improvement, and acting as a contact for service users.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for those trained as children's nurses with a strong background and interest in transplant and apheresis.
