Job Opportunity for a Leading MEP Planner

A prestigious opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Planning Manager to join our client, a renowned main contractor, on a high-profile data centre project in London.

The project involves the installation of MEP systems for a blue-chip organisation, and our client is seeking a skilled MEP planner to support the project team as it transitions from construction to fit-out, MEP installation, commissioning, and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Review schematics and gain understanding of the MEP installation and commissioning strategy.
  • Understand the major project milestones and agree with the lead project planner.
  • Be an advanced user of Asta, and have a working knowledge of other planning software such as MS project and P6.
  • Have experience of projects with heavy MEP and commissioning elements, such as those in the technology or manufacturing sectors.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of: mechanical, electrical, and commissioning, including installation techniques, best practice, and single system commissioning requirements, construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies, design processes, and design programmes.
  • Be able to assist in value engineering and C2P project strategy and demonstrating programme benefits.
