Job Overview

Aylin White is seeking a highly skilled MEP Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical and Electrical systems on residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the MEP team, including subcontractors and consultants, to deliver MEP systems that meet project specifications.
  • Coordinate and integrate MEP systems with architectural and structural components of the project.
  • Develop and maintain MEP project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Ensure that MEP installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Work closely with the design team to review and approve MEP designs and specifications.
  • Ensure that all MEP designs are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Facilitate value engineering to optimise MEP systems in terms of cost, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures for MEP works.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure that all MEP documentation, including drawings, specifications, and manuals, are accurate and up to date.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager or Project Engineer, either with a degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in MEP management for either a main contractor or an MEP subcontractor, preferably with a focus on residential construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems.
  • Proven experience in managing MEP works for large-scale residential projects.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MEP design software and project management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards.
