Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to post 16 students with special educational needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one support to students as required
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to support student progress
Requirements:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Diploma in Health and Social care
  • Training in Manual Handling and Safeguarding
  • First Aid certification
