Job Title: Wireless Installation Assistant

Location: UK (5 days onsite)

Contract Duration: 3 months initially

Salary Range: £14,700 - £19,050 per annum (£100 - £135 per day)

The Wireless Installation Assistant will be part of the networks team, providing operational support between network teams and the Improving Wireless Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the planning and coordination of activities related to the University's wireless network hardware/software and associated infrastructure.
  2. Engage with third-party teams and the University to ensure installations are performed on time and to a good standard, adhering to safety and listings regulations.
  3. Provide support and advice to end users during 'floor walking' activities within departments and colleges.
  4. Maintain accurate records of hardware stock, ensuring it is labelled and assigned for delivery to University buildings.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication skills.
  2. Proactive approach.
  3. Pleasant person with strong interpersonal skills.
  4. Familiarity with IT systems and networking principles.
  5. Desirable: previous experience in a similar field.
