About this Role:

The Wireless Installation Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the university's wireless network.

This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and basic knowledge of IT systems and networking concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Wireless Network Operations: Collaborate with the Installation Officer to plan, coordinate, and execute wireless network installations.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support and advice to end-users during 'floor walking' activities, ensuring efficient wireless connectivity across the campus.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately manage inventory, including hardware, labelling, and assignment for delivery to university buildings.

Working Environment:

This role is based at the university campus, requiring regular interaction with staff, students, and external vendors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated Annual Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum (approximately £120 - £155 per day)
