We are seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Headteacher to join our 'Outstanding' Independent Special School in west London as part of their senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will lead on Curriculum and Wellbeing across both Primary and Secondary sites, working closely with the CEO and Headteacher to restructure and embed an exciting new curriculum and wellbeing offering.

Our school provides an inclusive co-educational environment for children with Autism aged 5-16 years, split across two sites. We focus on developing the whole child, providing opportunities for personal growth and social skills development.

To be successful in this role, you will need a recognised teaching qualification, a proven track record of teaching and/or leadership within a similar setting, and excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and relevant accreditations related to SEN/Autism.

It would be beneficial to have experience in mental health and wellbeing initiatives, with additional qualifications in SEN and/or school leadership being highly desirable. Your understanding of Ofsted expectations and the Independent Schools Standards would also be valuable.

Your salary will be between £44,000 to £50,000.

You will play a key role in designing and implementing a pupil-centred programme aimed at enhancing communication and independence for each child. Our approach is based on a multi-professional model, focusing on individualised learning plans and progress tracking.
