About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of water and water recycling TOTEX solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options, ensuring risks and gaps are mitigated and the Project Basis of Design is upheld.
  • Design calculations and sizing of mechanical, hydraulic, power generating, and building services equipment.
  • Liaise with the supply chain to assess and understand the latest technologies as part of the optioneering process.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and solutions.
  • Oversee outputs for processes including P&IDs, Data Sheets, HAZID, and HAZOP studies, and mechanical input into commissioning plans.
  • Support the team in achieving excellence in Health & Safety, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs.
  • Identify opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have extensive practical mechanical design experience (ideally 8-10 years) in a similar environment. You will possess a proven track record of designing hydraulic and mechanical systems and products, as well as a good understanding of modular build and construction processes and procedures.

With a broad knowledge of electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear equipment and suppliers, you will be able to make value-added suggestions and make informed decisions in complex situations. You will have strong teamwork skills, be accountable and work with integrity, and be willing to try new approaches and processes.
