We are seeking an experienced and skilled Unit Manager to lead our nursing and care teams at Fernwoodcare, a specialist care home for adults with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs, dementia, and physical disabilities.
As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care, driving continuous improvement, and overseeing all clinical elements and risks.
You will also be responsible for ensuring care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner, acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, and supervising and managing the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal of medication.
About YouWe are looking for a natural role model with the ability to manage a team of Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, and Health Care Assistants. You will have a thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care, excellent clinical and communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.
You will also have the ability to work confidently on your own initiative, a good standard of digital skills, and a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
