About the Role:
Cityscape, a reputable building, rail and civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, ensuring delivery of payment, and developing client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying and proven experience of working on civil engineering infrastructure projects in the UK. A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and working knowledge of NEC forms of contracts are highly desirable.

A competitive salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum is on offer, along with a car allowance of £7,500, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private health care, and enrolment on to their pension scheme and profit commission scheme. Fantastic career progression opportunities are also available.

The role will involve managing up to 3 projects at one time, with values between £1M-£2M. These will cover highways, bridge infrastructure and S278 schemes for residential developers and local authorities. Key responsibilities will include managing day to day tasks to provide further commercial support to both project delivery and estimating teams within the company, which can be broken down into the following:
  1. Assisting in the prompt presentation for all applications for payment and final accounts, including all contractual entitlements.
  2. Assisting in ensuring that all payments are received in accordance with the contract terms.
  3. Procurement, negotiation, and the placing of sub-contract orders.
  4. Assisting in the financial and commercial management of sub-contracts through settlement of Final Accounts.
