About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our Procurement department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply base to ensure effective supply of product and services delivered according to the required specification, to schedule and at minimum cost to support the growing Indirect needs of the business.
  • Create and report against Category procurement strategy, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue RFQ's.
  • Carry out commercial negotiations, including, but not limited to, FM agreements (soft and hard), service level agreements, utilities, Capex and consumable provisions within the UK and overseas.
  • Select and nominate suppliers to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets.
  • Work with different ERP systems to raise purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Lead cost and budget leadership, providing clear and accurate data into budget holders.
  • Validate commercial terms, delivery terms and general terms and conditions to ensure alignment with the business and/or customer requirements.
  • Report procurement status at programme reviews and gateways to senior management.
  • Lead the resolution of supplier quality concerns, ensuring proper root cause analysis is carried out and robust corrective action implemented.
  • Coordinate NDA's with suppliers and the business legal team.
  • Resolve any invoice queries arising from PO's.
  • Develop and monitor supplier performance data and work with key business stakeholders and the supplier quality assurance team to ensure effective supplier development plans are in place and measures executed.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, with suppliers to mitigate failure to meet business requirements.
  • Follow the Purchasing Procedures of the company and maintain the working environment to levels consistent with the business.
  • Develop and continuously improve the business procurement processes and procedures within a multi-programme environment.
  • Have a broad understanding of sourcing and category management plans ideally within FM.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in a similar Indirect Procurement role and CIPS qualification preferred.
  • Experience of procuring within the FM sector along with related services and Capex equipment preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills allied with an ability and commitment to meet deadlines.
