On-Site Versatile Engineering Technician (Electrical Focus)

Core Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm

Role Overview:

Execute scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled and urgent maintenance in line with the organization's planned maintenance and task frameworks. Conduct planned maintenance activities with professionalism and quality. Generate technical and situational reports as necessary. Utilize provided technology systems to ensure compliance with contractual obligations consistently. Carry out assigned tasks in a professional and proactive manner at all times. Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and clients consistently. Document activity reports accurately and promptly in accordance with company protocols. Support management in preparing quotations by providing precise and high-quality information for identified additional works. Attend team meetings and briefings as required. Submit accurate timesheet information weekly and punctually. Ensure the company is represented positively at all times. Undertake urgent maintenance tasks as directed by the Help Desk or management. Report any significant site issues or incidents to your line manager immediately upon discovery. Oversee subcontractors working on-site. Understand and adhere to all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations, recognizing personal responsibilities within the organization. Ensure that all materials and equipment are managed, stored, and utilized in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations. Actively engage in health and safety processes as required by company policies, including accident investigations, reporting, risk assessments, and audits. Follow any other reasonable instructions from the Contract Manager or their Line Managers. Collaborate with the company to fulfill its moral and legal responsibilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in high-profile commercial properties. LV Authorised Person (Preferred). Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. C&G Parts 1 & 2, or equivalent qualifications. 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to achieve 18th Edition through additional training if currently holding 17th Edition). C&G 2391 testing and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing, and certification. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff. Proactive in achieving the highest operational standards. Competent in IT and report writing. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and clarity to deliver required services within specified timeframes.
