Job Title: Precision Machinist

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team at Workshop Recruitment. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our grinding machines.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Your main responsibility will be to select and mount cutting tools required for CNC and conventional grinding operations. You will also position workpieces on the machine and perform the required grinding operations (Internal and External).

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
• Preparing the machine for grinding operations (setting);
• Grinding, deburring and polishing workpieces to bring them to the desired shape and dimensions, in accordance with the design specifications;
• Mounting and dismounting workpieces on/from the grinding machine;
• Able to use measuring equipment to check finished pieces (quality control);
• Reporting any machining or fabrication defects or imperfections;
• Carrying out maintenance of grinding machine and cutting tools;
• Keeping work area clean and orderly;
• Support colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the Company;
• Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company;
• Be punctual at all times;
• Adhere to the company's health and safety requirements and complete training as required.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
• Qualification in engineering or similar field;
• 3 – 5 years' relevant experience in a similar industry/role;
• The ability to read technical/mechanical drawings;
• Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving;
• Be proactive and a great team player;
• To be a quick learner and take initiative in improving processes and procedures.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum.
