Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients by venipuncture and capillary techniques.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a flexible approach to working hours to meet service level requirements. Previous phlebotomy experience is highly desirable, but we are willing to provide training and support for the right candidate.

• Collect blood samples from patients by venipuncture and capillary techniques
• Work across all sites, including Warrington Hospital and Halton Hospital
• Provide excellent customer care service and possess excellent communication skills
• Be able to work independently and recognize own limitations
• Be flexible and willing to work outside normal hours

• Excellent standard English and Maths
• Confident with IT systems, including Lorenzo
• Car and full driving license
• NVQ 2 or above
• Flexible and willing to work outside normal hours
