About the Role:

This Shipping Coordinator role is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious organisation with offices in Bury St Edmunds. As a key member of the shipping team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of imports, liaising with the purchasing team, and ensuring the smooth execution of export shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrange export shipments, covering all modes of transport.
  • Prepare associated export documentation, including Health Certificates and Certificates of Origin and Export Licences.
  • Ensure database information is up-to-date and submit new information where necessary.
  • Review changes within the freight industry to identify changes in legislation.
  • Provide support to other areas of logistics as and when required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' office-based experience.
  • Dangerous Goods by Air, Sea, or Road qualification is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to take initiative, be proactive, manage changing priorities, and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
  • Import and Export experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail, friendly, and helpful nature.
  • Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel.
