Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at James Gray Associates. As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by accurately maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and providing support to our finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately maintain and update financial records, including purchase and sales ledgers, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile purchase and sales ledger control accounts, supplier statements, and petty cash to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Financial Support: Provide support to the finance team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control, to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including weekly cheque runs, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including control of company credit cards and management of expense reports.
Requirements:
- Strong Mathematical Skills: Possess strong mathematical skills and understanding of current accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and able to learn new software applications quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
- Attention to Detail: High levels of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
