Finance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our activities team as a Finance Coordinator. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering exceptional service to our students by supporting the financial management of student groups.
You will work closely with the Activities Team to review and advise on society event/trip budgets, ensure that societies are effectively managing their finances, and approve sponsorship contracts to align with college and union policies. A significant aspect of the role will be to deliver the annual budgeting process in line with ICU's grant allocation and financial policy. Additionally, you will support student groups in developing their annual budgets, ensuring that all financial processes are equitable and effective for all groups.
The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Delivering training related to financial processes
- Processing financial documentation to enable diverse activities for student groups
- Coordinating finances associated with club and society activity, annual, and event budgeting in collaboration with the finance team
As a key member of the activities team, you will support the delivery of a high-quality support service for student-led groups, working closely with the Activities Manager, elected Officer Trustees, and the wider Activities Team. The successful candidate will be committed to empowering student leaders and will have personal experience supporting the administration of financial processes. The role requires excellent administration and organizational skills, a methodical approach to managing information, and sophisticated interpersonal skills.
Please note that this role is with the Students' Union, a registered charity with its own governance, systems, processes, and objectives. However, we work closely with Imperial College London, and you will be joining a wider community of staff working within higher education.
