Job Title: Transport and Installation Lead Engineer

Job Summary:

Teespro Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport and Installation Lead Engineer to join their team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of the energy division, you will be responsible for developing installation procedures for offshore wind projects, selecting suitable vessels, and preparing for, managing, and coordinating engineering subcontractor scope of works.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and implementing installation procedures for offshore wind projects, including vessel selection and positioning plans.
  2. Coordinating engineering subcontractor scope of works and ensuring timely delivery of assigned deliverables.
  3. Performing engineering, technical preparation, and execution support for offshore wind projects.
  4. Assisting projects in dealing with unexpected circumstances during execution and troubleshooting.
  5. Understanding and advising on project risks and their implications on programme, budget, and quality.
  6. Feeding lessons learned back into the Foundation Unit knowledge centre and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. A Civil / Mechanical / Offshore Engineering degree or equivalent.
  2. Experience of installation engineering, including deck layout, lift & rigging plans, and operational procedures.
  3. The ability to perform and review rigging design and crane lifting studies.
  4. The ability to offer technical support and advice during project execution.
  5. Knowledge of 3D / FEA software and supervisory and coaching skills to develop junior installation engineers.
