Job Title: Transport and Installation Lead Engineer

Our client, a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Transport and Installation Lead Engineer to join their team in Middlesbrough.

About the Role:

As a Transport and Installation Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the transport, lifting, and installation of wind turbines and their foundations on offshore wind projects. You will work closely with the project team to develop installation procedures, select suitable vessels, and coordinate engineering subcontractor scope of works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing installation procedures for offshore wind projects, including selection of suitable vessels and equipment.
  • Coordinating engineering subcontractor scope of works and ensuring timely delivery of assigned deliverables.
  • Performing engineering, technical preparation, and execution support of offshore wind projects.
  • Assisting projects in dealing with unexpected circumstances during execution and understanding project risks.
Requirements:
  • A Civil, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in Installation engineering, including deck layout, lift & rigging plans, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to perform and review rigging design and crane lifting studies.
  • Knowledge of 3D / FEA software and supervisory and coaching skills to develop junior installation engineers.
