About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Care Assistant in a residential care setting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a care role, preferably within a residential setting, and be committed to delivering person-centred care that prioritizes the needs and preferences of each resident.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Helping with meal preparation and assisting residents during mealtimes, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and contributing to care plan reviews.
- Promoting a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion towards residents and their families. They will also be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care role, preferably within a residential setting.
- Understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a care environment.
- Basic first aid and medication administration training (or willingness to undertake training).
