About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide critical support to our Workington Mill, contributing to calibration, product testing, monitoring, investigation, and administrative services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile summary reports on production quality losses.
  • Investigate quality issues and collaborate with the team for product quality improvement.
  • Maintain customer information for Production areas to facilitate Customer Awareness activities.
  • Maintain board reference standards and defect library & codes.
  • Offer guidance on referred quality decisions and ensure the fitness for purpose of our products.
  • Review production records and assess decision-making proficiency.
  • Coordinate testing and evaluation for inter-lab comparisons.
  • Implement agreed changes to board standards and instrumentation.
Desirable Qualities:
  • A strong understanding of spreadsheet applications and statistical analysis.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and methodical approach.
  • Self-organization and analytical skills.
  • An engineering or scientific background preferably at degree level.
  • Familiarity with the paperboard manufacturing process.
  • Excellent knowledge of our IT system.
  • Good knowledge of quality management system requirements.
  • Support with Product Safety & Compliance testing.
