Highway Maintenance Operative

About the Role
We are seeking a Highway Maintenance Operative to join our team at Colas Road UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our highways.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out temporary defect repairs in a safe and timely manner
- Apply safe methods of working to all activities
- Understand and follow procedures relating to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
- Understand and follow procedures relating to Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome regulations (HAVS)
- Drive within the confines of The Road Traffic Act
- Operate machinery as required and directed by the Supervisor
- Install/Remove Traffic Management as required
Requirements
- Flexibility and a hardworking attitude
- Experience in a similar highway's maintenance environment
- C1E driving experience
- A valid UK Driving Licence (Essential)
- HGV Class 2 Licence is required unless you come from a strong Traffic Management work background
