About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our Newcastle office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of designs and drawings for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a team to produce designs and drawings for construction projects
  • Support the production of technical reports in support of planning applications and to/through the construction stage of projects
  • Work on a variety of exciting roles including healthcare, residential, education, leisure, etc.

Requirements
  • Preferably a Civil Engineering degree and either be Chartered or approaching Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design
  • Strong post-graduate experience in a civil engineering working environment
  • The ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations, and construction drawings
  • A solid engineering foundation and an understanding of highway design and highway drainage principles (layout, etc.)
  • Experience in using Civils 3D or PDS (or similar software packages) together with experience in applying Highways England/DMRB and Local Authority design guidance
  • Experience in design of drainage using InfoDrainage and a background in Water Company related work inclusive of the relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, DMRB and Local Authority Design Guides, and to be well versed in the preparation of drawings for Contract Documents and requisite technical agreements
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues including more senior and junior staff in producing designs, drawings and reports is essential.
