About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer Manager to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Australia. As a key member of our mining infrastructure team, you will provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline.

Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business, contributing to business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities, and mentoring junior civil engineering staff. You will also be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and upholding best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and governance across a range of multidisciplinary projects with a focus on the civil engineering discipline
  • Provide technical leadership for the civil engineering function within the local WSP business
  • Engage in business development and client liaison with mining clients and local authorities
  • Mentor junior civil engineering staff
  • Maintain, enhance, and uphold best practice Quality Assurance processes across the team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification, with at least 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience. You will also have experience in managing the scope of multiple projects varying in complexity and size, and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
