About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Clinical Practitioner to support our multi-professional teams in enhancing clinical care and capacity within our Urgent Treatment Centres.

As an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients, using your advanced clinical practice skills and own clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, refer or discharge patients.

As a Consultant Practitioner, you will work face-to-face, supported by a variable rota covering weekdays, evenings, overnight, weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shift leading the clinical teams
  • Carrying out consultations with patients, taking a comprehensive patient history and using your expert knowledge to identify potential diagnoses
  • Deciding on and carrying out treatment, including prescribing medicine or referring to primary or secondary care specialist services
  • Providing clinical advice and mentorship to junior clinical staff

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Pharmacist
  • Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (equivalent or higher)
  • Evidence of completion of study in minor illness
  • Independent prescriber
  • Evidence of study in minor injury or willingness to develop these skills
  • Evidence of completion of study in paediatric minor illness or willingness to develop these skills
  • Evidence of study in paediatric minor injury or willingness to develop these skills
