Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client based in the West Midlands region on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting detailed quotations for client projects, evaluating supplier quotes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations for client projects
  • Evaluate supplier quotes to determine suitability and value
  • Assist with project planning, ensuring clear communication of requirements
  • Attend on-site meetings when necessary to support project success
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external customers
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Previous estimating experience within architectural metalwork, steelwork, or construction
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • IT literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Sound knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, and risk management
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a motivated and committed attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients and colleagues at all levels
