About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inclusive Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Further Education College based near Preston. As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with students who require additional support to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and share insights on individual learning plans, driving student success.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote an inclusive learning environment, fostering a culture of equality and diversity.
  • Support the delivery of workshops and training sessions related to inclusive practices, enhancing staff knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided, ensuring effective tracking and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a learning support or educational role, with a strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or a related field are desirable.
