Theatre Operating Department Practitioner

**About the role:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at Scarborough Hospital's Anaesthetic Care Unit. As a key member of our unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our theatre operations.
**Key responsibilities:*
- Maintain a high standard of patient-focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
- Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
- Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you must possess current NMC registration (Level 1) or HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner. You should also hold recognised teaching/assessing qualifications and demonstrate awareness of current issues in healthcare and NHS standards of professional practice.
