Senior Accountant Job in Bury St Edmunds

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Bury St Edmunds. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial services to our diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Oversee client portfolios, ensuring all compliance requirements are met and providing exceptional client service.
  • Tax Planning and Advisory: Provide tax planning and advisory services to a diverse range of clients, utilizing your expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Team Leadership: Manage junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional client service.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audits and ensure timely completion of audit files, demonstrating your attention to detail and organizational skills.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified or near qualification with solid post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm, demonstrating your technical accounting knowledge and expertise.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively in a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Leadership: Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
