About the Role

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for preparing client accounts, tax returns, and other financial documents. You will also be involved in audit work, bookkeeping, and management accounts, as well as providing on-the-job coaching to trainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare client accounts, tax returns, and other financial documents to a high standard.
  • Finalize paperwork for dispatch to clients and HMRC, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Interpret tax returns and financial accounts to facilitate effective tax planning.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information, ensuring attention to detail.
  • Monitor job quality and quantity, meeting targets and exceeding where possible.
  • Record chargeable time and ensure maximum recovery.
  • Support trainees with on-the-job coaching.
  • Involve in audit work, bookkeeping, and management accounts as required.
Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • At least 3 years' UK practice experience.
  • Previous experience operating at Accounts Senior level.
  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Aptitude to assist with business development activities.
  • Highly commercial approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Enjoy developing more junior staff.
