About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Wheelchair Clinical Team at Wiltshire Health and Care LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and strategic leadership to our Wheelchair Service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Wheelchair Clinical Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Wheelchair Service.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Wheelchair Service, including the management of staff and resources.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the Wheelchair Service is aligned with national and local priorities.
Requirements
  • Registered Allied Health Professional (AHP) or Nurse with active Registration.
  • BSc or equivalent in relevant Clinical Professional area.
  • Evidence of post-graduate CPD.
  • Significant post-graduate experience in community healthcare and long term conditions.
  • Experience of leading and managing clinical teams including HR and professional management.
  • Experience of recruitment and induction of new staff.
  • Experience of change management and service development.
  • Experience in managing and undertaking investigations into complaints and incidents.
  • Experience in delivering clinical governance, risk and safety management.
  • Good working knowledge of neurological or long term conditions.
  • Knowledge of relevant issues in relation to current health policies & legislation.
  • Recent experience of working at a band 6 level or above.
  • Evidence of professional development and experience in neurology, community rehab or long term conditions.
  • Experience of discussions around challenging and upsetting topics.
  • Multi-disciplinary working across a range of agencies/professional groups.
  • Experience managing a budget.
  • Experience of promoting self-management and patient autonomy.
  • Evidence of participating in audit.
  • Teaching and presentation experience.
  • Experience working between community and the social care sector.
  • Incident and investigation experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Clinical experience in mobility and postural management.
  • Evidence of formulating protocols/standards.
  • Evidence of incorporating research into practice.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook, Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience of using electronic patient record keeping systems.
