We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Focus Management Consultants. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the development, execution, and management of procurement strategies for our spend categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve service, quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, governance, and risk management objectives.
- Lead the procurement process for assigned categories, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategies.
- Analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and service.
Requirements:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in category management.
- Previous experience in category management within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 Hana or equivalent.

Our client is a privately owned international manufacturing and solutions group, specialising in low carbon electric heating and ventilation, precision cooling, flame and consumer appliances.
We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office in Southampton and two days working from home, 39 hours per week.
