Job Title: Children's Community Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Community Specialist Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition advice and support to children and families in our community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality care to children with complex nutritional needs. You will be responsible for assessing and managing the nutritional needs of children with a range of conditions, including complex disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert nutrition advice and support to children and families in our community.
  2. Assess and manage the nutritional needs of children with complex conditions, including complex disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and challenging behaviors.
  3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for children and families.
  4. Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  5. Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, families, and carers on nutrition and dietetics.
  6. Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines for nutrition and dietetics in our trust.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Dietetics.
  • Registered Dietitian with current HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate training or equivalent relevant experience within Paediatric Dietetics.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
