About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Legal Services team as a Head of Data Compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global university, contributing to the development of our data protection and records management practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the University's data protection and records management compliance, ensuring adherence to GDPR, FOIA, and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide high-quality advice on data protection and FOI compliance, including drafting and negotiating contracts involving personal data.
  • Embed and continuously improve data protection and FOIA compliance across the institution, including the development of policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Work with Professional Services and Academic departments to provide expertise in records management, ensuring data, records, and information are appropriately managed, stored, and accessible.
  • Develop and support regular training and knowledge dissemination on data protection and records management best practices.
