The role of a Healthcare Support Worker in the Surgical Receiving Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. As a key member of the nursing team, you will play a vital part in the care of emergency patients undergoing surgical assessment, investigation, and management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting registered nurses and the clinical team in the care of patients
  • Providing safe, effective, and compassionate patient-centred care
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team to achieve high standards of care

To be successful in this role, you must be committed to delivering high-quality care and have excellent communication skills. You should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be committed to continuous professional development.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde offers a range of training opportunities to support your development and career progression. You will be required to achieve the mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
