Support Teacher for SEND Students

We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support children and young people aged 3–19 with complex needs, including autism (ASD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and challenging behaviour.

  • Use creative and practical strategies to encourage active participation and progress.
  • Awareness of SEN Practices, including those for the EYFS, KS1, and beyond, is beneficial.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of SEN practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is preferred.
  • Good English and Mathematics skills are desirable.
  • Previous experience with personal care or manual handling is advantageous, though training will be provided.
