Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Anatomical Pathology Specialist to join our team at Epson and Stelier University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the diagnosis of diseases through the examination of tissues.

About the Role:

  • Undertake technical procedures, such as preparing tissue samples for examination, under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop strong problem-solving skills, working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deal sensitively with patients and their families, providing emotional support during challenging times.
  2. Assist in the preparation of laboratory equipment and materials, maintaining a safe working environment.
  3. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • A good general education, including basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, reflecting your skills and experience.
