The Epson and Stelier University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Apprentice / Assistant to join our team.

This role will provide an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with various tasks related to anatomical pathology.

As a successful candidate, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in this field, working closely with experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance in the laboratory setting
  • Supporting the preparation and examination of specimens

To be considered for this position, you must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. A good understanding of principles and practices in anatomy and pathology is also essential.

A significant amount of experience in a related field is preferred, along with the ability to deal sensitively with members of the public. Sound knowledge of HTA and UKAS standards is desirable.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020. A submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required to check for any previous criminal convictions.

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
