Job Title: Trading Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Trading Manager to oversee suppliers and categories within Grocery, Confectionery, Crisps, and Soft Drinks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring timely delivery of New Product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of New Product launches.
* Identify and source new suppliers while evaluating existing ones to ensure competitiveness in pricing, quality, and delivery.
* Negotiate terms with suppliers to secure the best prices, payment terms, and promotional support.
* Manage procurement of stock to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize overstock.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or service levels.
* Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment across the business.
* Maintain Trading Terms with suppliers, ensuring all records are accurate.
* Provide analysis on suppliers and categories to track performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for decision-making.

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years experience in Procurement or Trading/Buying roles within the FMCG Food industry.
* Knowledge of Soft Drinks, Confectionery, etc. would be an advantage.
* Proven track record of successfully negotiating with suppliers.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Experience of analytic software e.g. Qlikview, Phocas, Power BI etc.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement ERP software for stock management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs and market dynamics.
