Job Overview

JSS Search is a leading recruitment agency based in the UK, seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming ESG reporting within the business and industry.

The role reports directly to the Group Finance Director and sits within the Group Reporting team. As an integral member of the wider Group Financial Control team, you will work closely with stakeholders to broaden the business' responsibility for non-financial reporting, including compliance with IFRS S1 and S1 and CSRD requirements.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week required in the office. You will be responsible for preparing the business for upcoming non-financial and ESG reporting regulations and working with the business on best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the validation process for the annual report, providing ESG factsheets along with externally published non-financial information.
  • Work with legal and sustainability teams to confirm new CSRD legislation scope and metrics to be reported and assured under this regulation.
  • Implement business processes that deliver required reporting.
  • Coordinate with the business to ensure templates and completed reports are submitted on time, maintaining consistency for external assurance processes.
  • Be a key point of contact for external parties such as auditors.
  • Collaborate with ESG teams to validate metrics and develop reporting.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations impacting the team.
  • Engage in and deliver other objectives as needed.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in finance (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Post-qualification experience of 5+ years.
  • Experience in non-financial reporting, IFRS statutory reporting, and working with external reporting bodies, including audit.
  • History of working in large FTSE international organisations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare accounting papers, policies, and standards.
  • A proven track record of influencing and building strong relationships, with the ability to communicate and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in change management and implementing new processes.
