Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Piping Engineer with expertise in delivering complex piping systems for EPC projects. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineering professionals, ensuring that designs meet industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design and Analysis: Lead the engineering activities related to piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for piping systems, considering factors such as corrosion resistance, temperature constraints, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive piping specifications, valve/special piping item datasheets, and technical reports to facilitate procurement, fabrication, and installation.
  • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with departments such as mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and civil-structural engineering to ensure a cohesive project execution.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all design and construction activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Mentoring and Development: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in piping engineering.
  • Project Delivery: Assess, monitor, and report piping progress and resource.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience of piping delivery on EPC projects while running a Piping and Layout Design team.
  • A minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in piping engineering.
  • Profound understanding of piping engineering principles, standards, material science, and industry orthodoxy.
  • Demonstrable experience in the design, analysis, and procurement of complex piping systems.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.
