Job Title: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at ACS Business Performance Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative and technologically complex instruments and systems for challenging applications. As a design authority, you will oversee all electronics, software, and mechanical design activities within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop next-generation instruments and systems
  • Support the Director of Engineering in managing design and development projects
  • Assign tasks to the Mechanical Design team and ensure projects stay within time and budgetary restraints
  • Mentor and develop the team
  • Scientific instrumentation design from concept to final product
  • Forward look at design and manufacturing tools/techniques
  • Project management and bidding
Requirements
  • Sound understanding of engineering disciplines and high level of design ability and engineering knowledge
  • Project management skills with ability to plan budgets and resources
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of leading and developing a design team in a high technology engineering environment
