Job Role: Carpenter

Connect2Luton is seeking a skilled Carpenter to work on behalf of Luton Borough Council.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a comprehensive range of carpentry and multi-trade work, including kitchen and bathroom installations.
  2. Undertake site surveys and provide lists of materials for repairs and refurbishment projects.
  3. Carry out repairs and maintenance activities, including UPVC repairs and multi-trade refurbishment project work.
  4. Undertake project work, including multi-skilled activities related to kitchen and bathroom installations.
  5. Manage and maintain stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and accurate update of back office systems.

Requirements:

  • Self-diagnose and diagnose repair or maintenance activities.
  • Effect appropriate repairs, comply with risk assessments and method statements.
  • Plan workloads to ensure contract completion conditions, dates, and costs are met.
  • Operate hand-held technology to record and log stock levels.
