CV-Library is partnering with a reputable primary school in Sevenoaks to find a dedicated Teaching Assistant for their Year 1 class.

The ideal candidate will support the teacher in delivering high-quality education and creating a positive learning environment by assisting in planning and implementing KS1 curriculum activities, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback to the teacher.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Support the teacher in developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of students.
  2. Monitor student progress, record observations, and provide timely feedback to the teacher to inform instruction.
  3. Work collaboratively with small groups or individual students to address specific learning needs and promote academic success.
  4. Maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with challenging behavior and create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  5. Promote an atmosphere that encourages all students to participate in learning and extracurricular activities.
  6. Adhere to school policies and legal requirements to ensure the welfare and safety of students.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 minimum).
  2. Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and ability to develop engaging lessons.
  3. Previous experience working with children is essential, preferably in a primary school setting.
  4. An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply.
