About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Estate Ranger. This exciting role will involve assisting with the maintenance of over 30 countryside sites throughout Wokingham borough, including Country Parks, Nature Reserves, SANGS, and 143 miles of Public Rights of Way.

Key Responsibilities
  • General maintenance of park visitor facilities, including mowing, strimming, fencing, and reactive tree work.
  • Health and safety inspections, working with volunteers, and supporting the delivery of technical wildlife conservation projects.
  • Assisting with the upkeep of park infrastructure, including chainsaw and brushcutter maintenance.
  • Supporting the development of conservation projects and initiatives.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in land management and working outdoors. A full driving license and previous practical outdoor experience are essential. Chainsaw, brushcutter, tractor, and trailer driving experience would be desirable. Training would be offered to the successful candidate.
