About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Power Plant Integrity Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead and deliver power plant integrity assessments, develop risk-based inspection strategies, and provide technical support and advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and delivering power plant integrity assessments
  • Developing risk-based inspection strategies
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients
  • Assessing inspection results and making run/repair/replace decisions
  • Producing formal technical reports and other project deliverables on time and to budget
  • Creating proposals and tender return documents and developing new business
  • Mentoring and development of less experienced integrity engineers
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of standards, legislation, and good practice

The Ideal Candidate

You must have experience in all or most of the following:

  • Integrity assessment of defective power plant components – low and high temperature (reverse code calculation, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis)
  • Legislative compliance with the UK PSSR
  • Power plant inspection (steam and water pressure parts, boiler tube surveys, support surveys), with an understanding of materials selection, damage/degradation mechanisms, and life assessment
  • Power plant mechanical engineering
  • Power plant operations and maintenance
