**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Biodiversity Manager to join our London sustainability team. The successful candidate will have a formal qualification in ecology or a related subject and be a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead on projects across the South region, working closely with our existing ecologist in the North. The role will involve undertaking ecological assessments, working with the Statutory Biodiversity Metric Calculation Tool, and liaising with other disciplines.

**Key Requirements**

  • A formal qualification in ecology or a related subject and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
  • Experience in contributing to Biodiversity Net Gain calculations and/or reporting.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental policy and legislation.
  • Ability to plan and undertake ecological assessments, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, UK Habitat Assessments, and protected species surveys.
  • Experience in managing subconsultants, organizing surveys, and reviewing their reports.

**What We Offer**

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including professional development opportunities and a generous pension scheme.
