Job Title: Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our Ophthalmology department, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Ophthalmic service to children and young people, with a focus on Paediatric Ophthalmology.

About the Role
  • Provide a paediatric service within Ophthalmology, including cataract surgery and training.
  • Lead and develop the Paediatric Ophthalmology service, working closely with the wider Ophthalmology team.
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of Ophthalmic Trainees and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in the Postgraduate Medical Education programme and contribute to the development of the department.

Person Specification
  • FRCOph or equivalent qualification.
  • Completion of specialty training or within 6 months of AAC.
  • MD, PhD, or other higher degree.
