Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our Ophthalmology department, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Ophthalmic service to our patients, with a special interest in Paediatrics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive Ophthalmic service at Northampton General Hospital and support the provision of an effective county-wide service.
  • Lead and develop the Paediatric Ophthalmology service, working closely with the wider Ophthalmology team.
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of Ophthalmic Trainees and other healthcare professionals within the department.
  • Participate in clinical audit and research, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Generate revenue for the Trust through innovative working practices.
